It is a dry assembly of wooden elements installed to enphatise the blossoming of the chestnut tree that it surrounds in the spring, offering a place to meet and rest. The pavilion consists of 13 porticos that extend radially around the tree. These are made up of different interlocking parts, CNC cut to maximise material utilisation with the least possible cutting time. A variation in the cutting pattern of each portal produces the illusion of movement through the formal progression of solids and voids. The green inner elevation offers seating in the shade of the tree, while the blue outer elevation opens up to a semi-covered red gallery. The constructive system allows the pieces to be folded into their original form, reducing its volume and making it very easy to assemble, dismantle and transport.
